Restaurant Wirtshaus Am Gehrenberg

The Wirtshaus am Gehrenberg is the place to come for delicious food and stunning views. The overview of the town of Markdorf and Lake konstance, sitting outside in the garden under old chestnut trees in a long summer evening is a joyful experience on its self. The food served is delightful, the dishes are creative but balanced and cooked to perfection. Best of all the ingredients are organic and local sourced. All in all a highly recommend experience.

This place is top notch, okay I have to admit the weather wasn't the best, so it wasn't that crowded outside, but the service was amazing and the view marvelous. Pretty sure this place is overrun once there is sun and great weather. The food has a little Asian touch which is so so good. I can just assume that every single dish is a dream come true. It's such a pity that my stomach is that small and I couldn't try everything. Not sure if you can reserve a table outside, I a sure it would be beneficial if you could and you would, it's for sure possible for inside seatings. Parking can be a little tricky if it's summer, sun and beer garden time but I guess there's always a way. An absolute recommendation from my side, thank me later.

Very nice place and great staff. The bread at the beginning is fantastic but beware the dishes that follow are quite sizeable so leave some space! Great experience

We've been going here since probably 20 years or so and the food has always been great. Staff is friendly and the choice of menu is fine. I do recommend the apple crumble for dessert!

I came to this restaurant three times in the past months and it’s a really nice place. The view on the lake is beautiful and the atmosphere is super chill and quiet. The ofenfrischer Schweinebraten are really good, I recommend them. I would in general recommend the meat dishes. Instead I wasn’t fully convinced by the moussaka. The desserts are good but I think they are very expensive for the little quantity they give you.

Very nice and good professional service Great coffee, and I mean it...( I have drunk coffee for 55 years in many many places of the world already The blueberries muffin were absolutely not to the one you get at starrbacks to dry. Ice ..fir my feeling to sweet and I would recommend more milk or yogurt...but overall for the price ok. The place is situated on a little hill where 50 years ago a church was situated..realy nice few to the east side. Which is the owner only the best. ( This time, the toilet was also clean... I really wonder what kind of people leave the toilet in a messy place
